Soothe your soul in a hot tub above downtown while staring into Rocky Mountain National Park after a long day of hiking! You’ll love this historic cabin, built in the late 1800s but modernized for your comfort. Its cozy 540 square feet provide great views, a full kitchen & bathroom, fireplace, inviting and warm bedroom, and a deck overlooking Lumpy Ridge.

Features

  • Hot tub
  • 1 block to downtown
  • Cozy vintage feel
  • Washer and dryer
  • Full kitchen

This cabin rests on a hillside above downtown in a small neighborhood of other historic cabins. This was one of the original neighborhoods when people first settled in the Estes Valley. The place predates most other buildings in the area, but it’s been lovingly cared for and is in great shape.

You’ll love being able to walk to town from here, but still come home afterward and sit in the hot tub. Afterwards, enjoy lounging on the sofa and just relaxing in front of the fireplace.

There are other cabins close by, so if you are looking for total seclusion this isn’t your best bet — but there aren’t many vacation rentals out there offering the great combination of views, a hot tub, fireplace, deck, full kitchen, and the ability to walk to town.

The home offers 1 bedroom, plus sleeping for two more on two Ikea ottomans that convert to single beds. The bedroom offers a comfortable mattress to ensure a good night sleep after a long day of hiking. It’s a cozy space with wood paneled walls throughout, and north facing windows so you can watch the sun light up Lumpy Ridge as you wake up.

There’s a spacious dining room table and a comfy couch to lounge in while you stream your favorite Netflix series on the speedy WiFi. Feel free to fire up the fireplace — it’s electric but offers a great ambiance as the flames flicker on the cozy wood walls.

A small deck with a grill off the front door overlooks Lumpy Ridge, a perfect spot for a BBQ. The hot tub fits two comfortably but you could squeeze more in if necessary. It has a small fence around it for privacy from the neighors’ cabins, but the northern side is open so you can watch the mountains.

The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, small appliances, fridge, freezer, full size oven and stove, microwave, drop coffee maker, toaster, and more. You may not actually use it that much because you can walk to all the great restaurants in downtown!

The home does offer a full size washer and dryer for you to use.

A FEW REVIEWS

Clean, quaint place bordering RMNP that nice and secluded making star gazing a must. While you may feel at the end of the earth, you are five minutes from some of the best hiking you can ask for, and just about the same distance to downtown Estes Park.

The apartment is so tastefully decorated. It had every amenity we needed- and more! It was so clean and fresh which made our stay even better. The view is so lovely! Sitting out on the deck is heavenly. It is so quiet and peaceful. We even saw elk!

Robyn

Super comfortable, cozy space with everything you need and nothing more. Tiny house vibes! Loved being able to see the stars at night and walk directly into the park the next morning. We will be back!
Karen

Conveniently located near RMNP! It was perfect for our one night stay. Bed was comfy, the 2 fans provided really helped cool the space. Very unique and quaint interior that had everything you would need!

NOTE BEFORE BOOKING

Noise

This unit is in a quiet little neighborhood with other rentals nearby, so events, loud music and noises, and parties are strictly prohibited. Please be respectful of your noise level. The owners are committed to maintaining a good relationship with neighbors.

Winter Access

A tiny icy patch tends to form in the winter months in the driveway and a few times a winter, 2wd is insufficient. We recommend AWD or 4WD from mid-October to May 1 because we are at nearly 8,000 feet elevation in the mountains.

Bears

Becuase this home borders the National Park, the bears and other animals don’t need to venture through civilization to explore it. Do NOT leave anything smelly in your car at night! Bears are known to break in and cause a lot of damage.
