This cabin was the perfect cozy escape in Estes. We were lucky enough to experience the first snowfall of the season during our stay and words can’t describe the view of the mountains and snow falling while in the hot tub.

A day at Nordlys
One old cabin, five well-spent hours.
Built in 1925 and named for the owner’s Norwegian roots, this hillside cabin keeps its history in plain sight: squeaking floors, wood-paneled rooms, old signs, maps, snowshoes, and photographs from a horseback journey across Colorado. Yet the pleasures that matter after a day near the national park are thoroughly current—a full kitchen, 600 Mbps internet, a wood-burning fireplace, and a private hot tub beneath the night sky.
