Features

  • Beautiful deck views
  • Loads of wildlife
  • Borders National Park
  • Washer and dryer
  • Full kitchen

This is the southern apartment in a newly remodeled duplex, perfectly situated just footsteps from Rocky Mountain National Park’s boundary. You will love its cleanliness and modern, cozy vibe. It’s well appointed with new flooring, new paint, new living room sofa, new bed, and more, and the brand new fully equipped kitchen will allow you to feel at home during your Estes Park vacation.

The owner spent nearly three months during the winter of 2019 working to create a quiet and relaxing sanctuary for your mountain retreat.

The best part, however are the incredible views off the front porch. It’s surrounded by mountains and you can walk into the National Park right from the front door. It’s only a few hundred yards away! The deck also features a picnic table and BBQ

My home offers 1 bedroom with a comfortable memory-foam mattress to ensure a good night sleep after a long day of hiking. Attached is a closet for your gear. There are cool bohemian curtains on bedroom door and on one window, while the eastern windows feature blackout shades to ensure a sound night’s rest. If you like to wake up with the sunrise, you can leave them up and watch the room light up in the mornings.

There’s a spacious dining room table and a comfy couch to lounge in while you stream your favorite Netflix series on the speedy WiFi.

The kitchen has everything you need to cook: a full stove and oven, fridge and freezer, and assortment of pots and pans. There are knives, cutting boards, wine glasses, coffee mugs, and a french press so you can get your caffeine fix before you enjoy the park. The space also features a full size washer and dryer that you are free to use.

A FEW REVIEWS

Clean, quaint place bordering RMNP that nice and secluded making star gazing a must. While you may feel at the end of the earth, you are five minutes from some of the best hiking you can ask for, and just about the same distance to downtown Estes Park.

Robyn

Super comfortable, cozy space with everything you need and nothing more. Tiny house vibes! Loved being able to see the stars at night and walk directly into the park the next morning. We will be back!
Karen

Conveniently located near RMNP! It was perfect for our one night stay. Bed was comfy, the 2 fans provided really helped cool the space. Very unique and quaint interior that had everything you would need!

NOTE BEFORE BOOKING

4WD in Winter

4WD/AWD are recommended from October to May. If you arrive during a winter storm and can’t make it the last few hundred feet to the home, you’ll need to ferry your stuff by hand, park at our other home two blocks away, and walk back. This weather happens a few times a year.

Shared Walls

This is a duplex, and both sides are short term rentals. The only shared space, however, is the driveway. The wall separating the units is sound insulated, but please be respectful and don’t make a ton of noise. Everyone is here to relax!

Seclusion

There are other rental units nearby in my historic cabin neighborhood. If you are looking for complete seclusion and and isolation in the woods, this isn’t your best bet. This is a great location though, near town with the National Park in the back yard.

Bears

Becuase this home borders the National Park, the bears and other animals don’t need to venture through civilization to explore it. Do NOT leave anything smelly in your car at night! Bears are known to break in and cause a lot of damage.
