Nathan of The Wolf Rentals

Nathan Welton // Founder

From a basement apartment to Airbnb headquarters.

I started as an owner, just like you.

In 2016, I put the basement apartment in my Estes Park home on Airbnb, cleaned it myself, and met the guests myself. That grew into a company caring for more than 100 homes—and an invitation to speak with Airbnb’s quality leaders at its San Francisco headquarters.

My work today is growth, strategy, and performance: deciding where we invest, how we position each home, and how we keep improving. I spend a lot of time with revenue numbers and guest feedback, then turn what we learn into decisions about pricing, presentation, and the way we operate.

The team below brings the practical knowledge, local relationships, and judgment that make it work, home by home, every day.

Good communication.
A better experience.

A beautiful home is only part of a good stay. Guests also remember how they were treated: whether someone listened, answered clearly, and helped when plans changed.

Our managers organize the work behind that experience. They delegate tasks, coordinate repairs, help guests, keep schedules moving, and make sure people know what happens next. That care shows in a near-perfect communication record: 98% of Airbnb communication ratings were five stars over the last 12 months.

Matt and Nancy bring years of knowledge of our homes and owners. Hattie and Nichole add experience from travel and hospitality. A member of this local team responds 24/7, with Wolf Works ready when a home needs hands-on help.

Matt of The Wolf Rentals

Senior Director, Property Management

Matt

He knows the work because he’s done the work.

Matt started at The Wolf as a hot tub technician and worked his way through the operation. Today he is a senior manager, bringing firsthand knowledge of the homes and the jobs behind them to his work with owners, guests, and the team.

That path gives him a practical understanding of what a home needs and what it takes to deliver. He can step into the details, connect the right people, and help keep the whole operation moving.

Matt lives in Estes Park with his wife. He used to own a local climbing and guiding business, where preparation, sound judgment, and keeping your cool came with the territory.

Nancy of The Wolf Rentals

Senior Director, Property Management

Nancy

The company encyclopedia. A local through and through.

Nancy has been part of The Wolf since its early days. She carries a vast store of knowledge about the homes, the owners, and how the business works—the history and context that help a team make better decisions.

She has helped oversee tens of thousands of guest stays, bringing energy, organization, and a familiar voice to the people who rely on us. Alongside Matt, she gives the management team depth that takes years to build.

Nancy raised her children in Estes Park. Her connection to this town runs through family life, community, and years of helping other families feel at home here.

Hattie of The Wolf Rentals

Director, Property Management

Hattie

Adventure-travel experience. A calm command of the details.

Before The Wolf, Hattie worked in international adventure travel sales and trip coordination. Moving people through complicated journeys taught her to connect the details with the experience someone is counting on.

“The tight knit Estes community, outdoor mountain access, and hummingbirds keep me here!”

She brings that perspective to your home and its guests, and loves hearing about the hikes, climbs, and mountaineering adventures that brought them to Estes.

An avid gardener, Portuguese speaker, horror-movie fan, and devoted coffee drinker, Hattie is usually planning her next international trip. Here at home, she loves the hummingbirds and a cocktail at Hunter’s Chop House.

Nichole of The Wolf Rentals rock climbing

Director, Property Management

Nichole

A cool head when everything happens at once.

Nichole came to The Wolf from the restaurant industry, where she learned to keep a cool head when everything needs attention at once. Property management suits her for the same reason: every day is different, with a new problem to solve and someone to help.

“There’s something magical about a clean & stocked home that puts guests at ease.”

Estes Park’s wildlife, climbing, and mild summers are a big part of why she loves living here. Her favorite local escape is the dog-friendly trails in Glen Haven with her two dogs—a 13-year-old husky and a one-year-old heeler mix.

She also makes time for rock climbing, horseback riding, baking, and yoga. For the guests arriving at your home, she wants the same thing she looks for after a day outside: a place to relax.

Serious skills. Right here.

A hospitality veteran with an instinct for fixing things. A trail and deck builder. A maker of custom outdoor spaces. A jack of all trades who can move from a bathroom demolition to a golf cart repair.

Francisco, Forrest, Mike, and Ryan bring different strengths to the same job: caring for your home. Hot tubs, everyday repairs, outdoor improvements, and remodel work all draw on their experience. When winter arrives, they have two in-house plow trucks ready for the roads.

They know the properties, work closely with our managers, and take pride in getting the work done. Specialized work goes to the appropriate licensed trades.

“Like elves in the night, fixing and improving your home, while keeping its unique character that you know and love.”

— Forrest, on caring for your home

Francisco of The Wolf Rentals

Wolf Works Expert

Francisco

Our original fix-it guy. An extraordinary feel for how things work.

Francisco brings years of hospitality experience and a remarkable mechanical instinct to Wolf Works. He can take just about anything apart and put it back together without an instruction manual.

“Everyone brings something important and unique to the table, and I think that’s what makes us such a strong team.”

He is the original member of the team, and takes real pride in the different strengths his colleagues bring. Your home gets the benefit of both his experience and that shared know-how.

His favorite local ritual is a drive down Devils Gulch Road at sunset. The quiet, the changing light, and the view are a good reminder of why he calls Estes home.

Mike of The Wolf Rentals

Wolf Works Expert

Mike

A maker’s eye for the spaces around your home.

Mike came to The Wolf as an outdoor specialist, with experience in landscaping and creating custom outdoor spaces. He loves working with his hands and seeing a project take shape.

“That the people managing this home actually care and take pride in what the property looks like and the condition that it is in.”

— Mike, on what guests notice

The community and small-town feel keep him in Estes. Away from work, he hikes the Homer Rouse Trail with his dogs and spends time rock climbing.

Ryan of The Wolf Rentals

Wolf Works Expert

Ryan

The person you call when the job doesn’t fit a job description.

Ryan is Wolf Works’ do-it-all jack of all trades, equally at home demolishing a bathroom, plowing a road, or fixing a golf cart. He likes the variety—and the satisfaction of maintaining homes that show off his community.

He wants someone walking into a home he has worked on to feel that wonderful “wow” factor. For an owner, that means a versatile person who takes pride in the finished result.

Motorcycles are his happy place: canyon roads, mountain passes, and less-traveled trails. He also skis, camps, hunts, fishes, and hikes with his family or on his own, and appreciates a restaurant tip from someone who lives here.

Forrest of The Wolf Rentals

Wolf Works Expert

Forrest

A trail builder with a craftsman’s range.

Forrest spent six years on Rocky Mountain National Park’s trail crew, including as an assistant crew lead. He went on to co-own Summit to Sea Trails, managing trail-design and construction projects across five states. Bridges, stone staircases, retaining walls, and mountain-bike features were all part of the work.

“The smell of chlorine and sawdust early in the morning.”

— Forrest, on what he enjoys about the job

He has also run a handyman business serving Estes Park and Boulder. His experience spans custom decks, greenhouses, kitchen remodels, cabinetry, and finish carpentry. He brings an eye for materials, a practical understanding of how things are built, and the ability to see a project through.

Forrest’s degree is in outdoor recreation, and his free time lives up to it: mountain biking, splitboarding, whitewater rafting, and fly fishing. At home, there are chickens, a dog, and usually a bicycle or vehicle to tinker with. His fishing advice: find a remote lake with no trail to it.

Home Care & Cleaning

Extraordinary care. Every detail matters.

Our homes already earn an exceptional 4.91 out of 5 for cleanliness. Paloma’s in-house Wolf Clean Team is extraordinary: 4.93 out of 5, with more than 2,000 perfect cleanliness ratings in the last 12 months.

Paloma leads the six-person team you’ll meet below. Their work starts after departure and gets a home ready for its next arrival, day after day, through the busiest parts of the year.

We also work with local cleaning partners across the portfolio. These results are specifically for cleans completed by Paloma’s Wolf Clean Team.

Paloma of The Wolf Rentals

Director of Home Care

Paloma

Experienced leadership for a demanding job.

Before leading the Wolf Clean Team, Paloma managed one of the busiest restaurants in Estes Park. She knows what it takes to organize people and keep a busy day moving.

“I think the key is that we listen to each other, respect each other, and support each other, and some days we also argue. But I think that’s part of the balance.”

Today she leads the six-person Wolf Clean Team and oversees its cleaning work across the homes in its care.

Halloween downtown is her favorite Estes tradition: costumes, neighbors, and a main street full of trick-or-treaters. At home, she spends time with her husband, experiments with new recipes, and plays the violin.

Ashley of The Wolf Rentals

Wolf Pro

Ashley

A sunset drive is her kind of evening.

Ashley likes to finish the day outside—on a hike or a drive timed for sunset. The changing views are what she loves most about living in Estes.

At work, she enjoys putting things in order. Looking at a home from the next guest’s perspective is how she approaches getting it ready.

Jaritza of The Wolf Rentals

Wolf Pro

Jaritza

Usually headed somewhere quiet.

Jaritza likes the changing weather in Estes and the quiet places where she can take a walk without much company. A peaceful trail and time to look around suit her well.

“What I enjoy most is seeing how the house looks after I’ve cleaned it.”

Translated from Spanish

She enjoys the visible result of a day’s work: a home put back in order and ready for someone to arrive.

Jonathan of The Wolf Rentals

Wolf Pro

Jonathan

He’ll share the good time. Maybe not the picnic spot.

Jonathan is the spontaneous one: music, dancing, a night out with friends, or a plan that didn’t exist an hour ago. Around Estes, he loves spotting deer and finding quiet picnic spots—though he would prefer to keep their locations to himself.

“Even on the hardest days, we make things feel much easier because we help each other and never leave anyone behind.”

That sociable streak carries into work. He values the trust he has with his coworkers, especially on days when there is more to do than anyone would like.

Nubia of The Wolf Rentals

Wolf Pro

Nubia

Family, lakeside walks, and a few well-loved plants.

Nubia appreciates the quiet side of Estes. She spends her time with family, takes walks by the lake, and cares for her plants. Asked about a hidden talent, she says she’s still working on discovering it.

“We are a real team. We help each other, we work with joy, and knowing it’s stable work gives me peace of mind.”

Translated from Spanish

She values the stability of her work and the friendships in the team. Knowing the people beside her makes a difference to her day.

Selenia of The Wolf Rentals

Wolf Pro

Selenia

Music in the kitchen. Two spoiled cats at home.

The pines, mountains, and climate of Estes remind Selenia of her favorite parts of Mexico. She likes the town’s in-between size and quiet picnics among the trees, where she can hear the conversation around her.

At home, she experiments with baking while music plays, sings, and spends time with her husband and their two spoiled cats. Learning an instrument is on her list.

At work, she appreciates a team that stays close even on difficult days. She likes the thought of guests coming back tired from a day outside to a fresh, comfortable place to sleep.

Let’s talk about
your home.

We will review your home, its competition, guest feedback, and any pricing or performance information you can share. Let’s look at what it could do with The Wolf—and the people you’ve just met behind it.

The numbers behind the team

The review period. Published Airbnb guest reviews in the October 1, 2026 Hostaway export, for stays departing October 1, 2025–September 30, 2026. The latest reviewed departure in the supplied export is September 25; later stays may not yet have reviews. The Estes Park portfolio has 7,508 qualifying reviews: 7,141 overall five-star reviews (95% rounded), 6,970 five-star cleanliness ratings (93% rounded), and 7,369 five-star communication ratings (98% rounded). Average overall rating: 4.94/5. Average cleanliness rating: 4.91/5.

Paloma’s Wolf Clean Team. We connected each review to its reservation, identified the previous occupied stay at the same home, and matched that departure to a completed Breezeway departure clean before the reviewed guest arrived. The “Completed by” field identifies the team that did the work; assignment alone does not. The clean after the reviewed guest checked out is not credited with that guest’s review.

That process identified 2,162 reviewed stays across 44 homes after a Wolf Clean Team clean. Of those cleanliness ratings, 2,040 were five stars (94% rounded), with an average of 4.93/5. The figures include current and former members during the period. They measure reviewed stays with a clear match, not all stays or an individual employee’s performance. Missing and conflicting sequences are excluded; outside cleaners’ completed jobs are not attributed to the in-house team.

Message response time. The Wolf reports an average first reply within five minutes from its messaging platform. This measures first replies to guest messages, not time to complete a repair or resolve an issue.
