This policy explains what information The Wolf Rentals collects when you visit thewolfrentals.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers this website only. Reservations are made on our booking site, and payments and bookings there are handled under that site’s own terms and privacy policy. Information collected during a stay at one of our rentals, such as when you sign in to the guest Wi-Fi, is handled separately and is not covered here.
Who we are
The Wolf Rentals is a vacation rental management company at 1885 Sketch Box Lane Unit 7, Estes Park, CO 80517. You can reach us by phone at 970-480-1112. For privacy questions, please use our owners-only contact form. It’s okay, even if you’re not an owner!
Information you give us
- Contact and owner inquiry forms. Your name, email address, and the message you write. Submissions are sent to our email inbox. The website itself does not store them.
- Emails and phone calls. Whatever you choose to tell us when you contact us directly.
We use this information to answer your message or discuss managing your property. We do not sell it, and sending us a message through this website does not add you to a mailing list.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics, installed through Google Site Kit and Google Tag Manager, and Jetpack Stats from Automattic. These tell us which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are located, what device and browser they use, and how they found the site. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this.
- Security and server logs. Our web host and security tools record IP addresses, browser type, and the pages requested, so we can keep the site running and block attacks.
Other services on this site
- Availability search. The date and guest search on our pages is provided by Hostaway, our booking platform. When you search or book, you move to our booking site, and Hostaway’s privacy policy applies to the information you enter there.
- Spam filtering. Messages sent through our contact form are checked by Akismet, a spam-filtering service from Automattic, before they reach us. Akismet receives the message, your name and email address, your IP address, and basic browser details.
- YouTube videos. Property tours and guides embed videos from YouTube. When a video loads, Google may set cookies and collect viewing information under Google’s privacy policy.
- Links to other sites. We link to maps, restaurants, tour operators, outfitters, the National Park Service, and our social media profiles. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.
How we share information
We share information only with the service providers listed above that help us run this site, when the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our guests, owners, or properties. We do not sell or rent personal information.
Your choices
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them.
- You can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
- You can ask us what personal information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, including any emails or form messages you have sent us. Call us, or please use our owners-only contact form. It’s okay, even if you’re not an owner! We will respond within 30 days.
- Our site does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, because there is no common standard for them.
How long we keep information
Form messages and emails stay in our email account for as long as they are useful for answering you and keeping a record of our conversations. We delete them when they are no longer needed, or sooner if you ask us to. Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of Google Analytics and Jetpack.
Security
The site uses an encrypted HTTPS connection, and we limit who can access the information you send us. No method of sending or storing data online is completely secure, so please do not send payment card numbers or passwords through our forms.
Children
This site is intended for adults planning travel or managing property. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the effective date at the top.
