Features
- Gas fireplace
- Perfect location
- Walk to restaurants
- Minutes to National Park
- Minutes to downtown
This family-friendly home is perfect for families but great for couples as well. It’s a comfortable, single-level 3 bedroom situated just a few minutes from downtown Estes Park, a few minutes from the National Park entrance, and walking distance to the best deli, supermarket and restaurant in all of Estes Park.
You’ll love the location, the views of Lumpy Ridge, and the grassy front and back yards that are great places to relax after a long day hiking in the rockies. It features an open floor plan, large kitchen, and huge master bed/bath suite that’s separated from the main living area and affords an additional sense of privacy.
Because the house is relatively close to the National Park, you’re nearly guaranteed to see elk, deer and other animals wandering through the yard. It’s well appointed with comfortable queen beds throughout, modern sofas, a smart TV, fireplace, and ample outdoor living space. The fully equipped kitchen will allow you to feel at home during your Estes Park vacation. All access is plowed and flat, so unless there’s a massive winter storm that shuts down the entire town, you will likely be fine year round with whatever car you choose.
Recent improvements include:
- Fresh paint throughout
- Comfy modern couch
- New lighting to brighten the rooms
- Brand new beds and queen mattresses for a great rest
- A large flat screen smart TV with lots of streaming options
- Super fast WiFi with no dead zones
Note that this is a private home, but there is a small cabin on the back of the lot with wonderful long term renters. The buildings are approached from opposite sites, there’s not even shared parking, and you’ll likely not even know they’re there.
There are other homes in this neighborhood, so if you are looking for complete seclusion and and isolation in the woods, this isn’t your best bet. For that you’ll need to search 10 miles or more out of Estes Park.
Check-in is 4PM and check out is 10AM. We cannot accommodate early check ins and late check outs due to the cleaners’ schedule. It’s a super tiny mountain town and the cleaners are slammed and there just aren’t other people to clean.
BEDROOMS Our home offers 3 bedrooms each with an incredibly comfortable queen bed for a good night’s sleep. Bedroom 2 and 3 are off a hallway (with a second bathroom) that’s attached to the living/dining area.
- A master bedroom with a sparkly en-suite bathroom and a gigantic closet for your outdoor gear. We love the privacy offered by this bedroom as it is well separated from the rest of the house.
- A queen bedroom on the west side, with views from the bed of the mountains. If you want to wake up to the morning light, you’ll see the sky come alive as the light first hits Lumpy Ridge
- A smaller bedroom but still equipped with the same comfy memory foam queen mattress that’s in the other bedrooms.
LIVING & ENTERTAINMENT: There’s a 44″ 4K smart television with Roku. Come on in and log into your favorite streaming service (Netflix, Amazon Prime, Sling, Hulu, et). There are also games, books, and a cozy fireplace. Our home employs a speedy WiFi network with no dead zones.
LAUNDRY & COOKING The galley kitchen has everything you need to cook: a full stove and oven, fridge and freezer, and assortment of pots and pans. My brand new knives are sharp (dull knives are a pet peeve!). There are cutting boards, wine glasses, coffee mugs, and a drip coffee maker so you can get your caffeine fix before you enjoy the National Park. Our home offers a full size washer and dryer that you are free to use.
NEIGHBORHOOD: The neighborhood is incredibly convenient. You can walk a few blocks down Marys Lake Road to The Country Supermarket, where you’ll find a fully stocked yet uncrowded local market. They have awesome to-go deli sandwiches too. Adjacent to the market is Scratch Deli, offering amazing hand crafted warm sandwiches, plus Bird and Jim, by far the best restaurant in Estes Park. We love the place, and the owners are friends of ours. Our home is on the west side of Estes Park, so you don’t have to brave downtown traffic to get into the National Park. In the summer months this will save you a lot of time in the car!
Driving into the center of town is a short 3-5 minute journey, and the Park Entrance is a couple minutes the other direction. During the summer, there’s a free shuttle bus that goes all over Estes Park and into the National Park. You’ll want to walk to the Stop 3 (Manor RV Park) or Stop 4 (National Park Village, where the nearby Country Supermarket is), both of which are within a few blocks’ distance.
A FEW REVIEWS
Great space, close to everything!! We enjoyed staying here, a quick drive to RMNP or downtown. We especially appreciated not having to drive through town traffic to get to park. Quiet location… House was well equipped, towels, soaps, cleaners. Full kitchen, we used it to cook in and had fall the pots, etc we needed.
NOTE BEFORE BOOKING
Noise
Events, loud music and noises, and parties are strictly prohibited. Note that we have wonderful long term renters in a small cabin on the back of our lot — pleae treat our neighbors like you’d want to be treated. The house is equipped with NoiseAware which measures sound levels and alerts us if things are too loud. It does not record content, it only measures decibel levels so your privacy is 100% guaranteed. Guests are not to unplug it.
Additional Guests
Insurance requires that nonpaying and non-registered guests are not allowed on property. There are motion sensitive security cameras on the outside of the building which will pick up nonpaying guests and deter parties.
There is an additional charge per person for your stay after the first two guests. The platform will automatically calculate the total when you input your dates and guest count.
Air Conditioning
Estes has a mild mountain climate in the summers but from time to time it can get hot. Like nearly every other home in town, there’s no A/C. The cool evening breeze will cool the home down quickly. We do supply fans if you’re worried, but living at 8,000 feet means that aircon is not necessary.
