This beautiful, cozy cabin is located in the most perfect spot in Estes Park, on the edge of the Big Thompson River about a block and a half from the edge of downtown. The cabin features a huge, open living/dining area with lots of sunlight, a private hot tub, a gazebo with a BBQ for outdoor living, and a river with some fishing.
When you’re here, you can leave the car behind, avoid the traffic of downtown, and just walk to town, where you’ll find restaurants, bars and shops. At the same time, it’s on a private side road with no traffic, allowing you to have all the benefit of being centrally located without having to deal with the congestion. Additionally, the National Park entrance is a quick 5 minute drive from the front door.
This home has 3 separate bedrooms with 4 beds in total. The master suite features a gorgeous, hand-made log bed with an Olympic queen mattress and private bathroom. A second queen bedroom with a slider door opening out toward the river. The thirdbedroom has two single beds. Note that the master bath has a tub but no shower.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a blender, coffee maker, fridge/freezer, pots and pans, cutlery, silverware, baking supplies, and all the gadgets and utensils you can imagine. There’s a great breakfast bar and a kitchen table. The open living space also features a huge couch you can sink into, as well as additional seating, all centered around a cozy gas fireplace.
There’s fast WiFi as well as a 55-inch 4K flat panel television in the living room with Sling, Amazon Prime, Netflix, and a host of other streaming television services. You can watch sports, news and movies to your heart’s content.
The outside area is shaded thanks to tons of mature trees. You will likely see deer or elk grazing on the grass. When summer arrives, all the plant foliage will grow thick, and you’ll hear the leaves rustling all day in harmony with the breeze.
Many of the town’s top restaurants and attractions are all within a short walk: the Estes Park Brewery and Rock Cut Brewery, the China Garden restaurant, The Barrel bar, Sweet Basilico Restaurant (tasty Italian food with great pizza), and much more.
In the same 2 block radius is a liquor store, a winery, a couple of food trucks (parked at Rock Cut — sometimes you’ll find fried chicken and other times you’ll find a crepe truck). Be sure to walk to the gondola during the summers; it goes up Prospect Mountain and offers breathtaking views of the continental divide, the national park, and the entire Estes Park valley. The kids can walk a block to Fun City and enjoy the bumper boats and bumper cars, mini golf, a giant slide, a bungee trampoline, and go-cart racing. A half block away is the super fun aerial obstacle course of the Open Air Adventure Park. Some of these attractions are closed seasonally, so please check them out on the Internet.
The free summer shuttle bus that goes all over town has a stop a half a block away, so you can board it and get around for free.
The place is extremely family friendly, though it is on the edge of a river so be sure to supervise your kids, particular during the early summer when the snow starts to melt and the water level rises.
A FEW REVIEWS
Beautiful multi bedroom cabin that is clean, spacious, and so inviting! We loved cuddling up to read or watch tv on the sofa in front of the fire place and using the hot tub right next to the house. This is an all around amazing place to stay in Estes and it is in a great location; 5 minute drive from downtown Estes and a short drive to Rock Mountain National Park.
NOTE BEFORE BOOKING
Noise/Neighbors
Events, loud music and noises, and parties are strictly prohibited. Please be respectful of your noise level so I can maintain good relationships with my neighbors. This is especially true when in the hot tub because a neighbor bedroom is nearby!
Hot Tub Access
You have access to a hot tub that is behind the home, a stone’s throw from the Big Thompson River. This runs year round and is not for anyone but your group. Please, no parties or loud noises in the hot tub.
Stairs
You do need to walk up and down a couple of steps to access this home from the parking lot. It is otherwise single story and offers easy access throughout.
Winter Conditions
This home is conveniently located on a flat, paved road that gets plowed regularly. 2WD is usually sufficient but we always recommend AWD or 4WD during the winter months.
